Chamber Choir

Chamber Choir is our most accomplished performing choir for grades six through twelve developing the most experienced and focused choristers.

Peggy Crawford, Artistic Director, is an internationally recognized teacher and conductor of children’s voice. A graduate of Northwestern University School of Music, she received her Masters Degree from Vandercook College. Her accomplishments and artistic achievements have accorded her merited recognition and contact with some of the most prominent and respected choral directors. When not directing the choir, Peggy teaches at Hough School and Station Middle School. She has taught in Barrington District 220 since 1984.

Rehearsals

Chamber Choir rehearses on Tuesdays from 6:15-8:00pm in Barrington and has a two hour rehearsal one Saturday morning each month.

The choir rehearses during the school year and follows the Barrington School District 220 calendar for holidays and vacations.  Additional and extended rehearsal for major concerts, recording sessions and special engagements may also be required.

Touring

The Chamber Choir tours internationally every other year. Autumn weekend retreats are also a part of the first semester calendar for each choir.
